 Block him is your best bet - forget about trying to figure out what he is thinking or why he is doing this, just remove him.

What should you do?
Forget about him, block and delete him from phone and FB. It was a 3 months ON/OFF "thing". That is not even a relationship.
Let him go. Find someone who wants to BE with you, not just comment on your FB pictures and text you...
And there is NO point in being "facebook friends" when you aren't even friends.
He was a dud, move on.
