reader, anonymous, writes (22 June 2006): No one can tell you what he is thinking, dear or why he doesn't want you talking to these boys. Just remember, no bf has the right to tell you who you can and cannot talk to. You are a free thinking, independent young lady and I would be concerned as to why he's doing this. I'm taking a wild guess here and I'm thinking...jealousy issues-- and that means controlling, inappropriate behavior, on his part. The best way to find out why, is just sit him down and ask him. If you do find out it is, jealousy...I would seriously consider moving on. Jealousy is a highly damaging, toxic feeling that can eventually ,ake your relationship with him dysfunctional. Think smart and look after yourself and always question 'why' someone you care about is treating you this way. Good luck, dear
