writes:This is sort of a string of questions so here goes...How do i know if he likes me?? I dont want to ask/tell him bluntly coz i dont want to get myself hurt again. He smiles at me, sits next to me in class, and i caught him looking at me so he flicked his hair and looked the other way and did a little smile to himself (could have meant anything i know). The thing is we rarely speak because we are both quite shy, but when we do he normally mumbles and wont look at me _ kinda annoying. He talks to other people, they generally start the conversations and his responses are quite similar,, (quiet and brief). Also, we havent actually known eachother for that long, 2 months max? I really like him but im unsure how he will react. Also, could he possibly think im leading him on?? One week i was smiling chatting etc etc, the next week was bad for me, so i hardly spoke, so when i tried speaking to him again he would hardly reply again. im so confused.How can i be more confident around him?? I always get so nervous around him, so when i do try and start a conversation, generally my words get muddled or i mumble and embarrass myself, therefore just walk off lol i want to be more confident around him but i dont know how to get past the nerves?

 You sit next to him in class. Ask him questions about the work you are doing. That will boost his ego if he can help you with that. He will be showing you how intelligent he is. All men like to show off in that department. He may have been a bit put out when you didnt speak to him that time. Sounds like this is built on guess work. You are both so shy. Maybe you need to get away from the school environment and then you could open up the conversation more and tell each other how it is. Isnt there any parties going on that you could ask him to.
