writes: please help!recently i started talking to my very first boyfriend.im talkin high school sweetheart.the thing is i still have very strong feelings for him.i told him but he didnt realy say much.he flirts with me and tells me he wants to be with me but when i say lets be together he says nothing.we are suppose to spend the weekend together next week.i feel anxious and scared cause im not 100% sure about where i stand.I dont want to use myself.he insists i have nothing to worry about.should i be worried?or am i overthinking things?

Oldersister gave you great advice. I agree with her 100%. Treat him as if you had just met him and keep your head about you. Sometimes when you see people from high school, you revert back to the old patterns of behavior and thinking. All the insecurities you felt as a teenager show their ugly heads again, despite all the growing up and self-confidence building you've done since then.
If he's jerking you around about getting together, then he's a jerk! Don't take it personally, it's not you, it's him, as Oldersister said. Just because you knew him way back when and liked him then, doesn't mean that he's grown up to be a good guy.
