writes: Have I been played?Hi all. I've been talking to a girl over the internet for the past month or so. It started off really well. We seemed to have a lot in common with each other and really on the same page. After a while, and it didn't take very long for me to decide that I wanted to meet her. We discussed it, and she agreed to a meeting, but she cancelled on me a couple of days before. Her excuse was that she says she's had a hard time meeting guys off of the internet. She said she had met several guys before from the same website she met me, each time resulted in them gaining her trust, sleeping with her, and then never calling her again. After the date was called off our conversations became a little distant, but we soon patched things up. However, a bombshell came tonight when she told me that she's seen some guy she met recently a few times and is interested in him.Have I been played? I feel like she's been stringing me along all this time. She made me think that there was a chance we would meet up, and all along she's started seeing some guy! I don't know how to feel, but this has come at a rather sensitive time for me so I feel kind of lousy. Where do I go from here?
