Question - (17 April 2009) 3 Answers - (Newest, 18 April 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've just moved house a few days ago to a town twenty odd miles away from my boyfriend and I hadn't yet told him where I'm living, as we had a physical fight a couple of weeks ago and I'm thinking of leaving him. Anyway, last night he rang me and was perfectly friendly, then at about 11'oclock I went to the shop to get some supplies, as I was walking back I saw my boyfriend across the road [a narrow one way street, and it was well lit} but he completely blanked me. He was on the phone so I waited until he'd finished. It was definitely him and not a lookalike as I could hear his voice and he had the same trainers and everything on, so I cleared my throat and smiled at him, as I didn't know why he was blanking me and was too embarrassed to speak, he saw me but just stared, I didn't know what to do so I just walked to my block of flats with him opposite me! He just disapeared down an alleyway next to the flats.

I went upstairs and phoned him, he was definitely outside from the background noise. I asked him if he was in the area, told him I'd moved there and I'd seen someone who looked remarkably like him, but he swore blind it wasn't him, I changed the subject as I could see I wasn't getting anywhere, and he was friendly and everything, then at the end of the conversation he said take care bye and then muttered remember I know every move you make, as if he thought I was too dumb to hear what he said.

Do you think he is just a crazy stalker or do you think this weirdness has some sort of purpose behind it? My mum think's he's trying to scare me to make sure I don't report him for the violence, speaking of which, the night we had the fight, he ran off and left me on the floor, I went to the police station, and just as I stepped in the door, he called me, I noticed a taxi driving past at the same time, I spoke to him, and was having 2nd thoughts about reporting him as I felt guilty, but I changed my mind again a few minutes later, and went back to the police station, at which point he rang me again and the same taxi drove past, but this time I saw someone in the passenger seat quickly duck down. I don't know what to do and I don't think the police will beleive me.

This is a very scary situation for anyone to be in.

It is immportant that you tell the police. You don't know what this man is capable of... He obviously does not think normally. Stalking someone is not right. BEATING you IS NOT RIGHT. Don't let yourself be manipulated into felling guilty. He is a dangerous man and you should not feel bad for protecting yourself.

He sounds very dangerous to me and it would be terrible if you ended up hurt.

Hun! U have to tell the police. U have to let them know that he stalking you that way if something does happened to u(not bringing you bad luck but with someone that crazy you will never know)thell know where to look. I also think that u should move back with ur mumz because if u have someone that crazy following u than u dont need to be alone NEVER. Please listen to me and go and let the police know what's going on. That's nothing to play with.
