I am very comfortable and happy with myself but I am tired of having to explain that I'm fine by myself and have people ridicule me and say that I'm lying. I am a confident person, but what should I do to make people stop harassing me for my choice? It gets tiring being treated like a freak, even though I don't for a second allow them to let me feel inferior.

Wait, your friends call you ugly and boring? Why are they your friends?
Also, some people just can't help but want everyone to find love. To avoid the harrassment from stranger in conversation, just say something to the effect of "When it happens, it will, but I'm not looking to make it happen." If you tell them you're leaving it up to the fates, they will more likely leave you alone as now the situation has turned into something not in your control, rendering their advice useless.
And, get new friends.

Where do you LIVE?
Everyone you meet tells you that you are ugly and boring???
Jesus you need to move and get some new friends. That is not normal.
Good Luck!! xx
