Had one amazing night with a man from another continent...should we stay in touch?

Hi Aunts and Uncles,

I went on vacation by myself last week, and the first night I was there I met a French man and we immediately hit it off. We have the same occupation, love to travel, and I even speak some French. We spent all evening together, and kissed on the beach. We did not have sex--I prefer to get to know someone better first, and I have only had sex with one person, an ex-BF who I was with for a long time.

Anyway, his plane left the next morning and I didn't figure we'd ever see each other again, so there would be no reason to keep in touch...but he messaged me a few days later saying that he couldn't stop thinking about me, and I told him that I feel the same way (which is true!).

The whole thing reminded me of the movie Before Sunrise...I am 25 and have never had such an instant connection with anyone in my life. We had so much fun together! I know this may all be impractical, but I was already planning a trip to Europe for next year and could easily visit him in France when I go...I know it doesn't make sense for us to have a relationship now, but I'm just wondering if it's better to cut ties or to keep talking and see what happens. Has anyone experienced anything like this before??

supermum agony auntYou go for it girl. Making mistakes is much easier on the heart than having regrets! If it doesn't work out, or you don't feel the connection after a year has passed when you next might meet him, then so be it. But if that spark stays until you can get to see each other again then you can come on here and tell us how he romantically proposed!!!!!!

Good luck sugar!

I would rather regret taking a chance meeting up again than kicking myself later for not doing it ..., watch Before Sunset!!! You had a connection so maybe worth a second chance to spark :) Love Ethan Hawk
