No, the hormone that shows up in the bloodtest onbly shows up when you are carrying a baby. In very rare circumstances you can have a type of tumor which also shows up with the same hormone, but in differeng quantities, so that is highly unlikely.
If trhe blood test says your pregnant, you are pregnant.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 February 2006): Hi, I had 2 negative pregnancy test results from my GP but I tried 3 home kits which all said positive (albeit with a very faint line). I phoned one of the phone numbers on the home kits and they said theirs are more accurate than the GP's and I should trust theirs. Turns out they were right as I was pregnant. Maybe you should go buy a home test kit. Hope the result is what you are looking for xx

I think that blood tests are usually pretty conclusive, unless there is something else going on.
If you feel pregnant and have missed two or three periods or have any uterine pain then you need to go to see the GP asap as something may be wrong.
Are you sure it is not just that you really wanted to be pregnant and had convinced yourself you were so are now depressed and dont want to believe the result.
