Funny or flirting?

A female , anonymous writes:

Over the last few weeks since telling a guy that I liked him his private conversations with me (which have only been 2 or 3) have been littered with innuendo or double entendres. For example I rang him to ask if I could borrow his ladder regarding some fruit trees and he said to me its a long time since you had it isn't it and the ladder to which I replied yes its a long time since I had the ladder.

Then today I text him about something relating to hedges that he would be pleased to hear about. As I text I put 'you probably know this already but bushes now trimmed on (so and so road) and thought surely he's not going to reply with an innuendo comment. He replied to me 'Bout time to! Must admit I like the look of a well trimmed bush!.

He is a jokey person with me from time to time but has said more comments like this in private than in general company especially when he warned me to be careful what I was saying one night in front of everyone because it had a double meaning and I had not realised it.

My question is, is this guy just being witty and funny or is he flirting with me.

Sounds like he probably is trying his luck. If you're not interested then just laugh it off, if you are then flirt back. Pretty simple really :)
