writes: Hi, I'm 15 and have a boyfriend but a 20 yr old friend of mine hinted I'm too young. But most of my friends have boyfriends. I don't know what to do. Should I dump him or do most 15 yr olds have boyfriends??? We're just kissing and stuff and I don't think I'll let it lead to sex. I really love him but would not sleep with him. But the thing I really want to know is, is a 15 year old too young for a boyfriend?? thanx .....

I'm 14 and I don't think that I should have a boyfriend yet. 1) Becuase I'm not mature enough to handle one and 2) because I don't think I can make rational judgements when I'm "in love" with somebody.

You can have them any time in your life, in fact the ealier the start, the more expieriance you get! :) But in my school I was being hinted it was stupid not having a g/f at 12! 15 is definately a stage when you should be allowed to take relationships from friendships to love

No offence to family but at the age of 15 they are going to be protective of you because ther are a lot of sexual influences to be aware of.The thing I would do personally is stay with the boyfriend if you feel it is the right thing to do and explain to either friends or family that it is your decision as long as YOU know what you want.

 15 isn't necessarily too young to have a boyfriend. It all depends on how you feel and what you are ready for. It sounds to me as if you are quite mature; you know what you want and you seem sensible. Many young people of your age have boyfriends/girlfriends so I wouldn't worry about what your friend says. You must listen to what you feel and what you want. If you are happy with this boy and he is happy with you, then have fun. Accept people are going to have opinions but that you don't always have to agree or follow them.

Other people could be Jealous.Most of the kids in my school thought I was sad because I would'nt go out with a boy at school when I was 13 -I was too scared at that age, so 15 is fine!You also seem to understand that sex would be too soon for you at 15....... good on you for having you head screwed on.So just enjoy dating him, its really the best part of a relationship and you should make it last because the feelings of excitement are wonderful and thats why people are jelous probably because he is a kid who won't rush you into anything and really cares about you! There is no harm, it is normal, enjoy each others company!and don't be pushed into sexOne thing to remember though doing something right as there's lots of people out there who are very unhappy and the person who said this could be secretly jealous that you're happy as secretly they're unhappy! If you're safe and happy then you're doing something right as there's lots of people out there who are very unhappy and the person who said this could be secretly jealous that you're happy as secretly they're unhappy!
