Our visual sense can mean something as simple as looking at great art or at the beauty of nature can be sensual. Creating art yourself can also be a great sensual outlet, even if you don’t think you’re particularly artistic. Taking the time to simply play with color, texture and shape and see how they blend together can be a sensual experience. For those particularly in tune with their senses of taste and smell, cooking can be sensual as well. Think of the smell of garlic and oregano simmering in an Italian kitchen, or the spicy curries of Thai and Indian food. People who love to cook use all their creativity and passion to create food for themselves and the people they love. Both the process of preparing and the pleasure of eating that food is definitely sensual! Finally, our ears can also bring more sensuality into our lives. Think of how you feel when you listen to your favorite music. Whether it’s the smooth sounds of jazz, the intricate melodies of classical or the pulsating beat of techno, hearing the music we love makes us feel good. And feeling good is what sensuality is all about. So getting in touch with your sensuality is as simple as figuring out what you’re passionate about and bringing those things into your life. Creativity, passion and sensuality are all interconnected – so the more fully you live your life, the more sensual and passionate a person you will be.
