writes:Apologies if this is a bit of an icky question, but can someone still go down on you if you're on your period but have a tampon in? Of course I know you can't have intercourse or get fingered while you're wearing one, but are fingers and tongue around the outside okay? Also, I've never actually used a tampon so I only know in theory what it looks like externally; anyone with experience, is it literally just the extraction string that is visible? Thank you so much in advance for any advice!

Yes, you can have fingers and tongue around the outside with a tampon in, but I don't know many guys that would be willing to go down on a woman on her period. And yes, it is just the string that is visible.
