However, IF you have had sex, and have not had a pap smear you should get one. A dr. who is used to looking at pieces and parts will tell you if there is something to be concerned about, and won't say a word if there isn't.

I had something like that happen to me and the 'bud'turned into an extremely uncomfortable knot. I relieved the swelling with witch hazel and after 2-3 days it was gone.
However if it's not uncomfortable then I wouldn't worry too much about it, but would keep a close eye on it.
