I am 41 now, but had my sperm count measured about 6 years ago because my wife wanted more kids and it wasn't working. Turns out I had a very high count, and high semen volume. I believe the testacles have to be about 96 degrees...a few degrees below core temp of 98.6. I don't think any underwaer is tight enough to cause a problem, but I do think tight jeans or pants that dont stretch is more of a problem. I do stay away from "tighty whities" or generic brands that are tighter up front. Jockey has a type of boxer briefs called a "pouch" design, which gives more room for your stuff. I'm not a "big" guy, but it does feel better not being all bunched up in front.

Tight underwear, generally briefs, keep his parts too close to his body, thus keeping his parts too warm and lowering sperm count somewhat. It's only a temporary change, but yes it does have an effect.
