Dose my girlfriend have borderline personality disorder .

Here are some of the reasons I'm asking.

Getting remarried to the same man twice, being married 4 times, having two children with two different people, spending them selves into large debt, using prescription sleep medicine for long periods of time, having many troubled relationships, plucking eyebrows ,spending time and time on trying to find a hair color, making someone feel very good then making them feel not good enough.

A female reader, Chippy2 United States +, writes (14 August 2010):

Do you know what BDP is? Has she been to a psychiatrist? From what I have read of the symptoms some seem to make sense - but it is a complicated issue. Could be many other things causing her behavior.

U are concerned about a 'label' for her behavior? Or are you concerned what her behavior means to you? Or are you concerned her behavior means you will have difficulty having a relationship with her?

Curious. More info please

What? Is this a serious question? Those things have nothing to do with each other. She just sounds like a bit of a difficult person, maybe. The first things about getting married and having kids and the debt, that just sounds like a person who's you know, gotten married, had kids, and overspent a bit. Sleeping medication? So? A lot of people have trouble sleeping, and she may have gotten dependent on the meds. It happens. Almost every woman on the planet plucks her eyebrows, and tons of women dye their hair and spend time picking hair color. Clearly you think you're superior to her as you think she's mentally ill for being well within normal. This relationship will never work.
