A female , anonymous writes:

Is it possible that a certain guy shows interest on you or treated you in a very special way just because that youre friends say?

Both of us are very conservative type of person and me as gal believe that guy must be the one to make a first move when it comes to dating, but I really dont know why he did not do it?

Knowing that im only waiting for his action, until I got to the point that I tell him that I like her which is really bad in my image? My question is do really guys turn off if a certain gal shows that there someone who got intrested to them or what?

pls help me or do I have to stop this feeling anymore?........thnx......hoping and advice from you.

A male reader, Yos Netherlands +, writes (24 April 2006):

Yos agony auntNo, not necessarily, guys can like it when girls show interest.

However, if he is quite conservative then he might also think that he should be asking you on a date, rather than the other way round. There's lots of reasons why he might not have asked, the most likely (i think) is that he might think you are not into him and say 'no'. Basically he's probably just nervous about asking you.

The best thing you can do in my opinion is to try to give more and more signals that you find him attractive and that you would like to date him. Then let him ask you. If it goes on for a very long time, then you could always ask 'why haven't you asked me out on a date?', and see what he says. Say it in a not-serious way and then he'll feel free to answer how he feels.
