writes:I have been seeing this guy for a few weeks but he still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend. We act like a couple and he calls me baby all the time. I asked what exactly our relationship was and he said that he didnt know but he likes me and likes hanging out with me and I said that I think we arw dating and he agreed. We havent done anything sexual but we cuddle and stuff all the time. If we arent going out, why is he calling me baby and acting like my boyfriend? Does it mean anything? Reply to this Question

Hi Hun, I call everyone hun and sweetheart.
I think you are clinging at straws here.
Set yourself a time limit for him. You have to only have a limit of patience or you are just getting messed about.
If you give him another week and then ask him where you stand and he says "meh" then simply say "Well I'm sorry then but I want a boyfriend, so I'm going to stop seeing you and try and find a guy who wants to be with me."
Do it in a public place or at his place so you can walk out and leave him there.
Ignore his calls for a day or two and then trust me, he'll realise what he's lost.
He'll come after you and say he wants to be with you properly.... or he won't bother and you can move on.
The worst thing is not knowing so take control and force him to make a decision.

 I dated a guy that called every girl "honey" and "baby".
watch out for these guys, they could be players.
Just enjoy his company and don't analyze or thing too into it. You will know when you are a couple we he brings it up or you get to the next level. Don't push or rush anything. just go with the flow.

reader, anonymous, writes (22 March 2009): personaly,i call my daughter baby,along with my wife and my dog.ii worked with a guy that he called everybody baby regaurdless of what sex you were.it just depends on what circle you run in or your upbringing or how you were raised or who you ran around with.but, it does sound to me like he defietly shows an likeing for you
