 To be honest I am not sure why there has been a lack of sex in the relationship but it could be for many reasons, maybe he is stressed, tired, run down, depression, anxiety, it really could be a number of things. You say he still shows affection but he does not take it any further, well have you yourself tried to take things further? Maybe he is waiting to see if you make a move. Guys can actually be far more insecure than girls can believe it or not, they just don't like to show it as much. If you have tried and he has said no he does not want sex then talk to him about it, tell him you are worried, ask him why your sex life seems to be going down hill, because six weeks at your age does seem a rather long time if you are both spending lots of time together. The only way around this really is to COMMUNICATE talk to him and tell him your worries. Good luck.
