I now hav a new job but still need to speak with him. He calls me randomly to help out with our work matters, winks at me ocassioningly, has said I'm irreplaceable and generally is smiley at me. Others where I work dont get this response from him. Like me as a person/worker or romantic?

No harm done unless he's married or living with somebody. Do you know if he is or not? What do you know about him other than what he does for a living? You should find out from someone at your old job to see if he is married and then if you find out he is not, then you can call him and ask if he wants to do lunch or something.

Well he definitely likes you, whether or not it is in a romantic way only he knows. How do you feel about him? If you like him why not let him know, ask to go out for drinks/bite to eat sometime? You don't work together anymore so no harm done.
