Are you aware of what your life will be like with this guy? As the previous answer asked, what's he in for???? What are the charges? And how did you meet this guy?
For years I was attracted to the "bad-boy" image. But looking back, all that attraction and excitement turned into the exact reasons that eventually caused us to part! Think about this very carefully! Looking back on my life and the guys I thought I couldn't live without...I wonder how I lived with them at all! I know you feel madly in love with him now, and of course you will do whatever it takes to be with him. But I'm hoping you will get tired of waiting and someone with a future to offer you will come along and sweep you off your feet!
Good Luck!

Baring in mind life sentances are generally passed in the most 'serious' of offences i.e. murder, rape, arson, or manslaughter.
To answer your question ,life sentance is 24 years elegable for parole 2/3 in to the sentance usualy but it all depends on the crime as to how long in or even if allowed parole...and parole depends on behavior on the inside and seriousness of crime comitted.
