Do you think he's really over me and that it will work with this rebound girl?

A female United States age 41-50, *hristieS writes:

So I was engaged to this Marine for over 3 1/2 yrs. We were living in Maryland and he then wanted me and our son to move back to Florida while he stays up there for the last few months of his duty. The plan then was for him to move to Fl. Five days after he moved me here, he went out to a bar, got drunk and brought a girl back to our house and they did it. I contacted this girl to inform her of me but she doesn't care. My fiancee broke up with me and has since spent every free moment with her. He tells me that he doesn't love me any more and has moved on. He told me today that she makes him happier than I ever did. Do you think he's really over me and that it will work with this rebound girl?

thank u so much for your opinion. I wouldn't take him back right now. he's coming here for Thanksgiving on Wed the 26th and I don't want to see him. For my sons sake though, I will try to be civil. His rebound girl isn't with him today so he's called several times today just to talk. I am trying to kill him with kindness starting from today on.Everyone tells me that he will miss me eventually but I don't think he will. He told me that he's over me and I need to get a life and move on. Do you think he means it?

He will be back...and when he does come back don't take him back....this is a scenario where he thinks that the grass is greener on the other side...and is probably just looking for some time to be free and have fun...and I think that once he's done having his fun he will come back to you because he knows that you will take him back...and if you do decide that you want him back..then don't just take him back that easily make him work to regain your trust back..
