A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

big problem, i recently started a new job (as in 3 months back) with my uncle, a neighbour and some guy from out of where i live, i'll call my uncle m my neighbour j and the other guy c, m got me the job, hes blood uncle mums bro, long story short I looked up to him, he's 11 years older, i looked up to him idolised him, loved him but now i have recently found out hes on speed (amphetamine) drugs and weed i am distraught and dunno what to do.

J told me, he on it e very Saturday after a drinking session to keep himself awake to drink more, in fact he's probably on the verge of being an alcoholic as he's a very heavy drinker. i daren't tell my mum and any other relative as i will have broken the trust of j which i don't want to do but i know m is slowly killing himself, hes a smoker too, basically he's the typical lad, works and and lives for the weekend, casual sex, drink and drugs to sum him up. i have always thought of him different than this but there we go.

What do i do now? Do i tell someone or leave him to his own private life?

I assume he's a grown adult over 18 years old? There are no children that are in immediate danger due to his issues? If he isn't hurting minor chidren, then what he does as a grown man is his business.
