Well then it sounds like a case of bad luck.
But it also sounds like you are investing your feelings a little too soon.
If you meet a married guy then don't get close enough to find out you want to keep him. Always look for signs of a ring, the skin will be smoother and paler.
You should cut your losses and move on as soon as you spot any red flags that he may not be available, or he may be a nut case.
Try looking in different places too.

If you're an ugly, lying evil person then yes, you may need to change.
If you're a fairly decent person with no self esteem then no, you just need to stop asking daft questions like this on the internet, and get out there in a nice outfit looking for him.
Treat yourself to something nice that makes you feel good and go for it.
