Do I have feelings for my co-worker?

Tagged as: Crushes<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (14 December 2012) 4 Answers - (Newest, 14 December 2012)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Recently, I've been having intimate dreams about my co-worker. He's 29. I'm almost 22. In these dreams, we kiss or have sex. It's so confusing to me because in real life, I only see him as a friend. At least, I think I do. My other co-workers believe that I have a crush on him or that we're dating because we sort of act like a couple. For example, he and I poke each other and I'm always rubbing his arms. (I know that sounds weird, but his arms feel like a baby's bottom, how can you not want to feel that?!) (he thinks it's a little weird but doesn't really mind)

All I know is that I like having his company. He makes me laugh. What do you guys think? Do I have feelings for him and just never realized it?

Just a note - you may not want to tell your co-workers about who you are/are not interested in. They could be jealous or whatever

So_Very_Confused agony auntYou may have feelings for him.

IF you are both single and there is no rule about dating in the workplace you may want to consider it but much like EWO said, be cautious...

If you date and it does not work out you guys will still be co-workers and that can be uncomfortable.

eyeswideopen agony auntBeware of romances with co-workers! If the relationship goes sour you are stuck working with the person day in and day out.

EbonyBlossom agony auntI know what its like to be confused about your feelings for someone! I think you need to spend some time alone with him, and see if any romantic feelings appear from being in that situation. It does sound to me like your dreams are trying to tell you something, but then again, it could just be happening because the subject is on your mind and youre questioning it. I definitely think spending more time with him alone will help you determine. Also, how do you think he feels about you?
