 I would confront him and explain how you feel. I don't think his comparing you to his ex is fair and you can ask him to stop doing it. If he really does have feelings for her ask him why he is with you.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 June 2007): Sounds like he still has feelings. I don't think it will go away and you can't be sure if he will be honest if you confront him. My advice would be ask him to be honest and tell him you won't be mad with his answer. This doesn't sound great but if he still has a thing for her it will come up again sooner or later and will damage your relationship with him. Ask yourself if you want him or can you find someone who will love you completely and not have eyes for someone else, then make a decision. You'll know what decision to make.
