Couldn't we be just good friends..I miss that! Would that be foolish of me?

Question - (5 August 2007) 1 Answers - (Newest, 6 August 2007)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend dumped me 7 months ago after 5 years together. I think I've coped with it well and have finally come to terms that it's over. In fact I'm enjoying the time to myself and doing all the things I want to without having to worry about someone else's feelings. Even though I accept things are over I do miss his friendship, because I could talk to him about everything.I have phoned him once in all this time and we spoke for nearly an hour. After this I did write him a letter stating that if he wished we could still be friends ie the occassional phone call, text or letter. He never replied, do you think it would be foolish of me after all this time to give him another call and ask how he is? After all we did spend a good few years together and I think its a shame we can't be friends.
