I had an abortion at the beginning of 2008, i had to get emergency medi-cal and they told me that i had to call them and cancel the emergency medical after the procedure. So i totally forgot til now and was wondering if the emergency medi-cal is still active? and if i could get in any trouble for not calling them after my procedure.

You should definitely call since you haven't done so already.
As for "trouble," I doubt it, unless you have since used the Medi-Cal coverage for unrelated procedures that they didn't originally authorize, i.e. anything besides the abortion and possibly related care.
If you used Medi-Cal for the abortion only, it should be clear to them that your mistake in not calling was an honest one. Good luck
