A female United Kingdom age 51-59, *anzi007 writes:

I have been in a relationship with a foreign guy for 10 months now his english is not too bad, i first knew him in 2007 when i went out with my mates to a club he would always come up to me and ask was i single which i was not at the time if my friend was out and i was,nt he would ask her where i was, i was out last june and i saw him again my friend was talking to him and she pointed to me and told him she single now, he came to me and would not leave me and we have been together since that night and i think he is lovely, he bought me gifts, he even had a traditional dress sent from his country for me to wear, he buys me food every night.

The problem is he is not allowed to stay in this country, he has been given accommodation before but this has now been refused, i said you can stay at mine but he said no that it is too far away from his job which is 2 miles away from my house and would mean him getting taxi to work so he is staying with his cousin which is nearer, before when he had his own room i would go there every night although i had my own house he gave me key to his room which on the whole was not his to stay their it was a friends who said he could stay their while he was not living there. one day the manager came and did a check and said he would have to get out and the friend whose room it was came back, my shifts changed at work which means i'm gone from working 9 - 5 to 7 - 7 on a rota, he wont come to stay at mine if im working next day as i have to be up for 6 and he only starts at 9 if im off i would give him a lift.

he does not have a visa and has recently sought legal help and he says i wish i had place of my own so you could come before he would drink a lot since he met me he has cut down, although his english is not good we talk a lot as i know a little of his language and i have also been to his country, not with him and i understand his culture and he says if he cant provide everything he wont live at my house, he sometimes says to me that i dont understand his heart, when we first got together he said he wanted to marry and have baby then he said he cant until he gets visa as if he got sent back to his country he would leave his child and me here. i know too many people in this situation, but then I thought to myself why come out with all this commitment stuff then retract it. mind games? confused.
