writes: So im 17 and a senior in high school. im plannin on moving out when i turn 18 in the middle of the summer. im not sure if my parents are against this...i know they dont want me to but idk if theyll go to the extremes about it. Can someone give me an idea on how to tell my parents im moving out? And if they become extreme with me do i just start quietly moving out? And is the legal age that im an adult 18?...my dad says im basically his til im 21 and cant move out til them......i havent been blunt and told them im moving out but i know i need to, my brother is living far away and wont be back til next january and says i should wait for him, but im NOT going to put my life on hold til he gets back i think its unfair...what do i do???? Well tell them that you have a good job and you are moving closer to that.
If you don't have that then get it sorted.
Most people move out when they have something to move out to...
As long as it's logical for you to move out then they shouldn't have a problem.
