Can my daughter still get viral meningitis?

My daughter has a very bad cold and is suffering from back ache. There is virul meningitus going around and i am worrid she has it. She had the injection when she was younger can she still get viral meningitus?

leyan agony auntPlease take her to the hospital right away, she needs to be checked and yes she can still get Meningitus even if she had the vaccin, it's a very serious thing, get help.

the best advice i can give to you is that you need to go to the hospital or your family doctor and get serious medical advice,and get some help sounds really risky to sit around and risk any further damage god bless

Sweet-thing agony auntI don't know how long the vaccines last, but if she were my daughter, I would take her to a physician immediately and have them run some lab tests, whatever they normally do to screen for that illness. Better to be safe than sorry. It's much more treatable when diagnosed early. I wish you the best.
