writes:hi i'm 14 and 15 in 1 month and i think i'm late, but i'm not sure because i keep forgeting when my last one was and i think i'm pregnant but i just split up with my boyfriend, my mum only found out 2 day that i wasn't a virgin but she doeasn't know that i have sex with my last boyfriend, i have always used a condom and i'm realy scared, i can't have a baby, my mum said today if i got pregnant then she didn't think she could mannege with it in her words 'i would be sent to a mental home' but if i am pregnant then it could be my ex or my ex ex coz i havn't had a one since before i split up with my ex ex but my last bf was only short, but my ex ex is way older than me, but i won't say how old, and i'm just realy scared, does anyone know if i could get an abortion without my mum knowing? i never before thought i could have one but now it has become an option, i'm just really confused, please help!

reader, anonymous, writes (30 April 2007): hiya hunnie you didnt really make your question too clear but i got the hang of it. yes you can get an abortion without anyone knowing if you realy felt there was no other way but you should tell your mum. honesty is the best policy. may seem like it isnt an option but your mum loves you unconditionaly and she would rather know u r pregnant and help yu through rthe abortion (if thats what you want) rather than get rid of her grandchild behind he bak. you also need to get a pregnancy text. go to your local family planning clinic or buy one from a chemist. lets hope you arnt pregnant, and you have learnt your lessons but if you are. do please tell your mum

 Yes, you can have an abortion without your mum finding out. Make an appointment with your doctor who can do a test and refer you to pre abortion counselling.
