I wouldn't reccomend honeypies split program, it's kind of a more of an advanced workout routine than is required. It's quite hard to get the balance right and properly isolate the muscles for that to work. It's essential you don't train the same muscles two days in a row, you won't get any benefit because the muscles need a rest day to build new fibres to strengthen and tone. Seriously google 'rest day' and you'll see what I mean.

A major shift is not possible if you want to do it healthily and keep the weight off. Seriously the quick fix you're looking for is probably not going to happen in any kind of good way. A stone in 13 days would require something which no one here would ever advise.

Something you should also know is that weight does not constitute tone, which is what I think you want. Muscle weighs 3 times as much as fat does, the key to having a toned body is not your weight it's the amount of body fat you have.

The best way to get rid of body fat is through a combination of interval training and resistence/weight training. Running alone is okay but it's very inefficient because it forces your body not to use up the stored fat it burn carbs first and muscle too, look at long distance runners they have no shape because they have very little muscle, whereas interval training (fast paced walk for 5 minutes then run as hard as you can for 1 minute repeated for a period of 30 minutes to an hour) keeps your body in the fat burning zone of your heart rate being at 60-75%. Again look at the shape of a sprint runners physique for a comparison, they have a much more defined shape.

Essentially walking is better than running for losing weight properly while still maintaining the muscle mass that gives tone.

Do a full body resistence workout on the same day, 12-15 reps for each muscle group.

You only need to do 3 days a week resistence training and cardio, rest days are vital. If you want to add another day then just go for a 30-60 minute full pace walk.

If you over do it by not resting, not only will you burn out and all that entails but as soon as you stop that intense working out the fat will return really quickly.

MonksDaBomb agony auntI suggest if you run, to start out slow, start speed walking then proceed to jogging then run. And when you're finishing your run, do it backwards: run, then jog, then speed walk. Just to start running and to abruptly stop pulls muscles and makes you sore.

Honeypie agony auntMake sure you "split" your work out up, so you do upper body one day and lower the next. And take at least 1 day off a week.

Also do work out evenly. We all have a strong and a weak side. Work them both equally.

I would also suggest you ask a trainer at the GYM to show you how to properly use the equipment. Using weights and various machines wrongly can do great muscular damage.

Oh and drink plenty of water :)

I suggest running, its a great workout for your whole body. I also suggest squats, weight lifting. And you need to eat well too. I have been working out and eating eggs, grits, yogurt, ect, and drinking lots of water. I have already lost a couple of pounds in a few days. It might not work that fast for you but everyone loses weight in different ways. You can start out by cutting back on certain things [example: soda] cutting back on unhealthy foods can go a long way! I wish you the best of luck and hope you get to where you want to be!
