I have known him for about 5 years and he has taught me for 2 of those years. He always smiles at me and whenever we talk we are always laughing and joking around. I sometimes feel like he is a friend.I admire him a lot for his teaching and he is my favourite teacher at my school. I look up to him as a father figure. He knows about how in my family there have been problems with my dad. Whenever he helps me he seems very caring and understanding and willing to help. Can anyone help me to describe these feelings?p.s I don't think I like him in a romantic wayall answers appreciated :)

You pretty much described them yourself :) I don't think you like him in a romantic way either. As you said he is a good teacher, plus he makes you feel like he's a friend so its natural to feel slightly attached. I would just say you look up to him. And everybody likes to feel cared about. Teachers can be your friend, you spend time with them and get to know each other over lessons, they actually know you better than you think as they study the ways you work, what helps you concentrate etc, which gives them more about you as a person. You've just got a good relationship, and remember, it doesn't have to be weird or romantic just cause its a teacher.
