I have ahd a few offers today from families in Italy for me to go and work for them as an Au Pair, and i have also had an email from the manager of a Bed and breakfast in London asking me to phone as i applied for a job as a general assistant there. I'm interested in going to both places, so i can't decide which to choose !. All the families who contacted me sound very nice, and the job in London sounds great too !. In the Bed and breakfast, i would serve tea, walk the dogs, cook, look after the garden, clean, hoover, make the beds, deal with guest enquiries by phone and email, doing the laundry, and looking after their child one or two nights a week. Obviously, the job in London is more hectic than the Au Pair job, but also fun and rewarding, but the Au Pair jobs would also be rewarding and interesting, although that is mainly childcare and going with the families on activities.I'll let you know more specifically about the job details with the familes when i have re-read the emails. So far they are all only interested in speaking with me further, i haven't actually been given any jobs yet, although they all asked me when was the earliest date that i could start. What do you think ?. Reply to this Question Share |

Trust your internal knowing, you know what sounds best to you, don't you?

Manager of B and B. It would look better on a resume, you get to interact with a lot of people, and during free time you can date. A manager has more authority than an Au Pair.

Au pair in in Italy certainly sounds like more of a cultural adventure and less of a repetative routine. Is that what you are looking for tho? Or do you like the familiar?
