I had double 'train track' braces for 4 years nearly twenty years ago and was never short of a bf. AND they where one of the best decisions my parents made for me as I have lovely straight teeth now and I thank them in my head every day for 'making' have them when I threw my teenage tantrums......
You go for it, it is really, really worth it!!!!

So many people get braces nowadays that it won't be that big a deal. I myself wore braces, and didn't get any nasty comments. I did however get compliments on my smile after the braces were gone.
Any boy that makes fun of your braces or doesn't like you due to them isn't worth having around.

I don't see any reason why they would be. Braces are an indication of self improvement, it shows you are trying to make yourself more comfortable and are looking to become cosmetically better.
This can surely ony be a good thing. If the teenage boy lets braces get in the way of him seeing the true person. That is just shallow, so you should be happy you don't have them interested in you in the first place.
