the girl i fancy asked me to a party on saturday. i said no because i thought she was jokin and did'nt want to gatecrash someone else's party but i'm regretting it

we are both 17 and only see each other at work once a week and have began getting closer week by week we talk to each other on bebo and my space and even though i dont think shes expecting it on saturday its valentines day

i am giving her snow patrol ticket to go with me is this a good idea? considering i dont have 1 for my self but should find 1 before the date what should i say when giving her the gift should i let her know how i feel? how should i say it? please reply
