reader, anonymous, writes (11 September 2007): My boyfriend had the same problem and in the end things got easier as he got more relaxed about the sex - things can be a little 'trigger happy' at the start. Give it some time and maybe spend longer over foreplay or there are some techniques (look in a sex guide or similar) that a woman and man can do to slow him down a bit (things like withdrawing and relaxing again as he feels he is about to come). Try and be, as you are, as supportive as possible through this time as frustration on both your parts will lead to further problems.
