 A trick i learnt from one of my friends that always works is to make eye contact with him for a couple of seconds but not too long, then look away and leave, then he'll follow you with his eyes as you walk away from him!.. small talk is a good idea try and talk about something that will make a good conversation and while he;s taalking, lean towards him slightly. If you can make him laugh that helps as well.
