She has been with her partner for 3 years and they have been trying for a baby for 1 year now, without success, her partner has had a semen test and it showed he had high velocity in his sample, he has to do an other sample next week, my daughter thinks he will not be able to have children and it is breaking her heart, her best friend has just told her she is pregnant which has made my daughter more sad even though she is pleased for her friend, I dont know what to say or do to help my daughter, has anyone heard of this problem and the chances or having a baby. Thank you.

reader, anonymous, writes (30 March 2012): It may not be his problem, It could be anything from in inhospitable uterus to POCS or even endrometriosis.. These are all common things. If your daughter is over weight it can cause problems also.
Best she go to see her doctor and sort it out.

Has your daughter been tested for fertility issues? She should consult her OB/GYN about her difficulty in getting pregnant as she may have a reproductive issue. Plus her doctor can also help her pinpoint her days where she is ovulating, and most likely to become pregnant. This could also be a case of simple bad timing, where she is just not having sex on the "right" days to become pregnant.
