When i am looking at him while he does this (Blushing or staring at me) he smiles shyly, blushes and looks away. He also always throws things at me, not hard and big things, just rolled up paper or gluelids (lol) when i am working.I told him i liked him and he said he wasnt interested in me in that way but he would like to be my friend. After this he cooled down with the staring and blushing, but it was still there. Then when i came back to school after the christmas holidays he was acting all shy and payed uncanny attention to me (I was called across the room to speak to my teacher and he was continuously looking around and staring at me, when i caught him he smiled and blushed again. He was sat next to my best friend and was constantly asking her what i was doing :S)He even stares at me when i walk through the schools common room (A room for us sixth formers) and he looks straight at me and in my eyes, blushes then quickly looks away before anyone of his friends can notice. I don't know wether or not i am just being hopeful and thinking things are more than they actually are or if i am on to something....either way i just want someones opinion so i can decide wether to give up on him or cool my feelings down.

It's possible he likes you, although we're not mind readers so the only way to know for sure is to ask him. This means you making a move and getting to know him. Go for it, otherwise you're just going to keep on guessing.

He seems very shy. You may have to try and find out from one of his friends, or yours what his intentions are because he can't seem to get passed the blushing stage.
