Am I doing something wrong or does he only like me as a friend?

I get sad If I don't see my guy friend. Me and him have been friends since last year and I thought he liked me! The problem is when its just him and me on the bus we talk a lot and I like that but if his cousin grace, my best friend, sits next to me on the bus he doesn't talk to me much which breaks my heart. G always wants to listen to music with me and then he listens to music and can't hear what I'm saying. I feel like it takes my time with him away. I'm in love with him so much? When he got off the bus he waved to me bye and I waved back. he always waves at me and sometimes we text at night. If I don't know something he always asks me questions regarding it. Then he says good job if I get it right. I can never tell if his eyes are dialated because hes heads big and hes a little red. I've been trying to figure out if he likes me as more than a friend for months. Sometimes I feel that were not meant to be more than friends. I wish that there was a sign. He should know that I like him so much. Am i doing anything wrong? we alwasy smile and make plenty of eye contact. I miss the time that I don't talk to him.
