reader, anonymous, writes (19 August 2008): Well, hon, at your age, I would say it is not an 'attachment disorder'. It is normal to miss being with someone we love,..and miss them a great deal. Just stay in contact and try to maintain a relationship. You don't say if his absence is a permanent one because of work or just temporary. He should respond and say how he continues to feel. If he begins to become distant...it might be good to re-think your own feelings. Best wishes, Tom.

you shouldn't worry. all that has happened is that you miss him being around you and holding you. sometimes things inside you change when something around you changes. now that this guy has relocated something inside you sparked and you just realised how much you might love him and how much you miss him. if you just see eachother more often, then, every time that you do see eachother everything will be so passionate that you will look forward to seeing eachother. everything will be fine. you just miss him.
