Hi there,
if you just want to give him a present for the sake of it, then NO. You broke up, and need to put this past you and move on.
If you are using this to try to get back together, then YES, give her the present to give to him BUT, do not expect her to just take you back, just because you got the kid a gift.
Bottom line, is that she might resent you trying to use the gift with her kid as a means to get back into her life, but at least you will make one last attempt.
If this does not work, then forget about her entirely, and find a new job this year. it sounds like you have been holding out for her since the break up 6 months ago. that is not healthy for anyone involved.
