If anyone is using them, I would appreciate whatever comments you have on these methods. For reasons I don't want to get into here, I need to avoid hormonal birth control. My husband and I used condoms exclusively while we were dating, but neither of us likes them. Since we got married, we've gotten kind of lazy and lately I've just been letting him pull out on my stomach. I know we can't do that forever, so I need to go with something else. Also, if we start using one of these methods, would it be beneficial for him to keep pulling out along with it? Thank you to anyone in advance who answers!

Just depends how effective you need to be protected, we were not able to use any of the femail methods apart from spermicides.Condoms were our main form of contraception for more than twenty five years with 100% reliability and we were a very fertile couple, each of our four children conceived first month.Perhaps you will want kids soon so you do not need to be very carefull, you could use Leas shield, sponge or the diaphram and condoms as backup or take it in turns to use a method of b/c, anyway good luck.

Well I can’t answer most of your question, but since no one else has tried in 2 days, I’ll try with a part I think I know about“…we've gotten kind of lazy and lately I've just been letting him pull out on my stomach.”You are also going to get pregnant this way. Google “pre-ejaculation fluid.” This comes BEFORE he has his orgasm, and has a higher concentration of sperm then the regular semen that comes later. “…namely the sponge or diaphragm. Are they uncomfortable? Do they interfere with enjoyment of sex? Are they difficult to use?”Well, I’m thinking they would not be able to sell them if they did not work well for some women/couples. All I can suggest is try them and see.Best of luck and sorry I could not be more helpful.
