deejuliet agony auntOk, yes, this is a very nice sentiment, but you have not really written it very well. It sounds childish and aloof. I am going to rewrite what you have written and see if you like it any better:

I dont know if I will have time to talk to you properly before you go and I wanted a chance to say goodbye.

You are very good at your job, mostly because you love it! I know you will do well and impress the socks off of them! I am proud of you for doing this! Please take care and come back safe and sound.

I know you are going to be away for a long time and things will be hectic so you may not have time to talk. But I wanted you to know that I am always here for you if you do ever want to talk. Email me when you have a chance. I would love to hear from you! I will probably send you an email on your birthday if you dont mind; February 23rd if I remember properly.

I really hope to be able to see you again when you come home. Like I told you before, I am good at waiting. Especially if the one I am waiting for is a good one. Are you?

hugs,

mwah
