If there is any one out there with legel knowledge, please let me know and add your info too. We settled for the apartment we are in so we could help our [my step daughter] out because she was pregnant. We ask the people we rented this place from, [Was it nice and quite ?] They of course said yes and here we were, are, and hate to be. The daughter has since got her own place and we are still stuck here [June till-12 months lease] and of course the landlord lied about the conditions here! The neighbors are so terrible. They played their music so loud we had to contact the landlord asking to please correct this matter. When he did, the next day, we got a message in black spray paint on our door in the back side, namely the word 'Bitch' and when the landlord was contacted, they said, "Probably your neighbors because you did complain to us about their loud music." The music was so loud that it vibrated the articles in our house, so it's been eight months now, and the are so many horrible things we have had to contind to. Even after calling the police, and we can't get a police report, we don't know what to do. Now there is no loud music, only loud kicking of our walls, balls being thrown against our adjacent walls, and all the other yippie-i-hay stuff going on. We have complainded over and over to the landlord, and he says, "There is no proof." Look folks, we are not bad people, but for what ever reason, the neighbors are really dogging us. Please help us ! This went on a few times ...if you cant beat em! at least you can listen to your own choice. Sounds like you have enimies bent on upsetting you, urecorders and cameras if you have to or try hard to move away and leave the idiots behind.

If the landlord will not let you out of your lease, all you can do is try to document as much of the noise as possible and see if you can go to small claims court and get out of the lease. Otherwise your only option is to keep a low profile until June and move out then.
