After a while a relationship does settle down, once the honey moon period is over, contact sometimes becomes less and maybe he just feels that he does not need to reassure you that he is thinking about you when he is at work. If you both still meet up and spend time together well then is that not enough? If you feel that it is unacceptable that he does not contact you as much then you both need to sit down and come to some sort of agreement that will keep the both of you happy. However if he is at work then you should just give him the benefit of the doubt and talk to him in the evening when he is finished. Try not to put to much pressure on him.
