(i might get it 3 times a year, and it has been that way since i first got it at 15 years of age.)i had sex for the first time 4 months ago and i got my period immediately after my first time. i had not been sexually active for 4 months and for the past two weeks i have been sleeping with this guy i have been seeing for a while now. we had oral sex on may accounts, but we took it a little farther last week. he never actually penetrated inside me, but now i am worried that i could still be pregnant because he did not use conception. last night and this morning he fingered me and now i bled. does that mean i am not pregnant? also, when should i take a pregnancy test?and i know this does not apply to the primary question of me being pregnant, but why do you think that i could still be irregular. i am 18 (next week 19) and still i have incredibly irregular periods. i am very physically fit, i exercise every single day... i either run 5 or so miles, or train with the swim team or exercise horses.. so my weight could not be a reason for my irregularity. i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 15 but i have been under a regular dose of levothyroxin and i have not other medical conditions so i am healthy in that sense.also, i know i have bombarded you with questions already, but i had not gotten nose bleeds since i was a young child and that was even a rarity, but since i had been sleeping with this guy i have gotten 6 in the past two weeks.. is there any coherence between the nose bleeds and sex? it seems like such a silly question, but i am just curious... if you have any insight that you could lend i would greatly appreciate any commentary on these subjects! thank you very much for your input!sincerely, slightly preoccupied with the situation at hand

That is really interesting. For the nose bleeds I have no idea. I would ask a doctor. Better to be safe then sorry, right? As for your irregular periods there could be several different reasons. Again, I would see a doctor. I am assuming it is something that bothers you since you brought it up. I know you could get on a birth control or something which could help them become more regular. Something to look into. Now for the pregnancy. Just because you bled doesn't mean that you aren't pregnant. Many women spot during pregnancy and it is common during the first few months. (I have been pregnant three times and spotted with my middle child) With that said it doesn't mean you are or aren't pregnant. The earliest you can take a pregnancy test is 5 days before your missed period and since your periods are irregular I would say roughly 4 weeks after having sex. Also, just because he didn't finish doesn't mean anything. There's a something called a pre-cum, which you can also get pregnant from. So if your worried I would wait and take a pregnancy test. And if you not wanting to get pregnant and you both aren't going to make a commitment to not have sex if you don't use protection then maybe you should look into birth control so that you don't have those scares. Anyways, good luck.
