writes: Dear Cupid,My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over 3 years. Shortly before our 3 year anniversary, he breaks up with me saying that he wants to date other people. We have been together since he was 18 and I 17. We are each other's first serious relationship and first, well, everything (we even live together). When he broke up with me, he had been drinking and the next morning, when sober, immediately called me and asked me to come back promising it would never happen again. We have ALWAYS talked about our furture together, but since the break up, he claims that he doesn't know anymore. I feel like him not knowing has put a huge strain on our relationship. It has been over two months since the "break up" and the other night he told me that he didn't want to break up, but he was getting tired of the relationship thing. I just don't know what to do or how to feel and he says that he himself is confused. I don't want to think things are okay and end up getting hurt, even though he says I won't.
